Introduction

Steve Brinkman is a BJJ brown belt under Kev Capel of Roger Gracie Academy Buckinghamshire. His style is heavily influenced by his background freestyle wrestling, but since becoming a member of the RGA BUCKS team he has successfully infused his grappling techniques with a systematic understanding of positions that have led to victory in both Gi and NOGI competition.

He has competed extensively in wrestling, capturing national titles in his native Canada as a high school student. After university Steve transitioned to Mixed Martial Arts, building a record of 10-1 at amateur (semi-pro) and capturing the amateur British Lightweight title in 2011.
